Maryville Agriculture Committee seeking nominations for annual Farm-City Banquet

The Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Committee is seeking nominations for awards to be presented at their annual Farm-City Banquet to be held in December.

Executive Director of the Chamber, Lily White, says the awards are a great way to honor those in an industry vital to economic development in the region.

"We just cease it as an opportunity to highlight agriculture in our community, how it kind of created our community, and is still a huge job and industry here in town.  So it's highlighting those people."

The Agriculture Committee is looking for nominations for Nodaway County Outstanding Farm Women, Outstanding Farm Youth, Agriculture Hall of Fame, Outstanding Conservationist, Outstanding Farm Family and Farm Advocate. Anyone wishing to make a nomination should contact the Maryville Chamber by November 8th.

The 59th Annual Farm-City Banquet will be held Thursday, December 12th at the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park Conference Center.
